Client Testimonials

"I thought it was appropriate for me to write to you in regard to the excellent service we have received from Power Solutions. During these very difficult times and with the costs of energy shooting up over the last couple of years, It is very helpful to have a company such as yours who one can rely on for advice.

What is also reassuring is that your company not only obtains the quotations and comparison on the energy required but that you take time to resolve any energy issues that also arise in such cases.

Many thanks once again for your companies work on our behalf"

Yours sincerely

Latest news about the CRC Scheme

Power Solutions are passing on the latest news about the CRC scheme ; this is a forwarded communication from The Environment Agency.

Greg Barker, Energy & Climate Change Minister calls on businesses to register now with 50 days left to register » as “CRC will encourage significant savings through greater energy efficiency ” . Frontrunners in CRC account for over 50% of energy.

You must register before 30th September 2010 in order to:

» Identify the right contacts for your participation in the scheme. We will help these contacts prepare for the future requirements of the scheme such as reporting releases in July 2011.

In particular organisations will need to nominate account representatives to take part in trading allowances. These people will need to go through verification checks and these must be completed before they can take part in the April 2011 fixed price sale.

» Avoid negative publicity, fines and penalties – non compliance is an offence with a set fine of £5,000 plus £500 per day (up to 80 days) payable until you register. It is better to register so that we can guide you through CRC.

Tips & FAQS: Once the registration window has closed we will be asking your primary or secondary contacts to nominate account reps.We will be providing more guidance on this and Digital Certificates in the next few months but for the moment participants do not need to do anything.

Have you registered the correct highest UK parent organisation?

We are finding errors with registrations particularly where the highest UK parent is a Holding Company.

You don’t qualify as a Participant but may be an Information Declarer? Note; this applies to the majority of Power Solutions customers who have Half Hourly electricity meters, denoted by “00″ in the MPAN on your bills. Check your level of involvement here

Escalate registration with your Consultant/Agent Many registrations are being held up unnecessarily by consultants or agents who are advising multiple participants. Where using a consultant or agent please ensure that your registration is not being held back by issues that do not affect your registration.

Power Solutions do not register for the CRC on behalf of clients; this is something you can easily handle and we do not wish to levy fees for something that is essentially a free service requiring no additional expertise.

Need help or advice…contact the Environment Agency.

On registration: check Am I In? or call 08708 506 506 and select option 4
